In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Daily Ritual.”
‘Think about your day. Select one of your daily rituals and explain it to us: why do you do what you do? How did you come to adopt this ritual? What happens on days when you can’t perform it?’
One of my oddest daily rituals is probably my writing. I would love to be a writer one day, but right now I’m busy with university preparations to write anything longer than a page. So that’s what I do: I write one page a day. The pages are rarely connected, sometimes it’s a few sentences hurriedly scribbled onto the back of whatever blank piece of paper I can find. It’s all the time I can put into something that I love right now. I allow myself a page a day, until one day, hopefully, I’ll be able to sit down and write chapters, not just a single page.
